Solar shading goes carbon neutral with Levolux

Solarshading specialists Levolux have added another green string to their bow by going totally carbon neutral. Already a tireless campaigner for construction sustainability, the firm is renowned for its highly sustainable products and this latest step will boost its eco friendly credentials even further.

Industry leaders in solar shading, Levolux offers a selection of ultra stylish, effective and affordable construction solutions – ranging from electric roller blinds to aerofoil fins and ventilation Louvres. These all help maintain a naturally cool, energy efficient working environment and are all fully recyclable.

Now, by promoting green working practices throughout the company and offsetting all its CO 2 emissions, the company is taking a stand against climate change. It also hopes to inspire others in the industry to turn over a new leaf.

“In today’s world, companies like Levolux have a duty to do our bit to tackle climate change and protect the planet for future generations. “Levolux has always been 100% committed to providing sustainable solar shading solutions, therefore going carbon neutral was a natural step.”

Levolux is offsetting its CO 2 emissions by supporting a major rainforest plantation project in the Great Rift Valley, Kenya.

“This move also means our customers, both old and new, can specify our products with total confidence that they will not be harming the environment.”

To play an even more active role in promoting for green construction practices, Levolux has also recently joined the UK Green Building Council. Launched in early 2007, the high profile group campaigns for a sustainable built environment and draws members from across the construction industry, NGOs, academic institutions and government agencies.
