Levolux meets the Carbon Footprint Standard

As a global leader in Solar Shading, Levolux has been helping to reduce carbon emissions for more than 26 years. Its range of energy efficient solar shading solutions can significantly reduce a building's energy consumption as there is less need for mechanical cooling and air conditioning.

Going a step further to tackle climate change, Levolux has teamed up with Carbon Footprint to assess its primary carbon emissions generated during the 12 months ending June 2011. A detailed appraisal was conducted, which focused on the energy consumption of its buildings, business travel and logistical operations.

The UK’s Climate Change Act includes a long-term target to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 80%, by the year 2050. To achieve this target, each business in the UK would need to target a reduction of approximately 4% each year. By assessing its carbon emissions each year, Levolux is able to set a benchmark by which it can target reductions of its own.

As the UK’s leading Solar Shading specialist, Levolux has a duty to do its bit to tackle climate change and protect the planet for future generations. Its customers can specify Levolux products - ranging from external Brise Soleil and Louvres, to internal Blinds and Fabric Walling - with total confidence that this will not have a detrimental impact on the environment.

Levolux, a member of the UK Green Building Council, is proud to partner with Carbon Footprint to help tackle climate change.
