Lighting Controls

In a new and exciting development, Levolux is now able to offer a range of Lighting Control systems, incorporating state-of-the-art integrated controls to manage a building’s requirements for lighting and shading.
The application of an integrated Levolux Lighting Control system can bring significant cost savings. Internal light sensors help to determine the requirement for light and shade at any given moment in a particular room or an area within a building. By linking motorised blinds and lighting to a programmable central control system, they can be automatically adjusted in unison to maintain optimum internal light levels.
The fully automated solution not only reduces energy consumption, but prevents problems associated with over-lighting and allows control of heat and glare at the same time.
Levolux offers a range of Lighting Control systems, incorporating the very latest technology from Lutron, which can be tailored to suit almost any environment, from corporate headquarters, to high-end residential applications. A good example of how Lighting Controls can transform a working environment is the recent refurbishment of Unilever House in central London.
Working to a challenging brief Levolux was tasked with increasing natural light levels deep inside the building, while managing solar heat gain and glare levels, particularly throughout the summer months.
The custom Levolux solution incorporated 210 electronically controlled fabric blinds, precisely interfaced with control keypads and photosensors. The addition of photosensors enables all blinds to be programmed to lower and rise automatically and simultaneously, throughout the floors as natural light levels change through the day. This helps to ensure the functionality of the blinds does not detract from the aesthetic appearance of the building.
Thanks to the integrated Lighting Control system, installed by Levolux, the 1930’s iconic building has been given a new lease of life, with improved natural light levels throughout the building. This not only benefits the occupants, who can enjoy a more comfortable working environment, but also creates a more flexible and cost effective home for Unilever.
