A blinding effort by Levolux helps scoop award
Energy efficient and ultra stylish blinds from UK specialists Levolux are shielding employees from glare at an award-winning London office building.
The company supplied a series of Internal Roller and Venetian blinds, along with Novawall fabric and leather acoustic walling, to the Paternoster House offices of prominent private equity firm Cinven.
The major fit out of the building earlier this year has since picked up ‘Best Small Project – London’ at the British Council for Offices Annual Awards.
Judges praised the scheme for meeting “all the client’s aspirations to provide an atmosphere of restrained and sophisticated quality befitting the resources and client profile of a private equity firm”.
They also highlighted how well the climate control brief was met for the project, with Levolux’s blinds playing a central role here. They effectively shield occupants from the glare caused by the sun.
All of the Levolux range of internal Roller Blinds provide designers with a modern selection of products that are ultra reliable, aesthetically pleasing and, most importantly, effectively control glare.

Levolux’s 450 Venetians also offered Cinven’s offices extra privacy, visual security and added decoration. The lightweight aluminium construction increases the system’s life expectancy and the blinds are suitable for humid areas.
The Venetians at this project are all adjusted via remote radio control, giving added flexibility at the touch of a button.
For the finishing touch, Cinven used Novawall acoustic fabrics in four meeting rooms, each in unique colours and style. Levolux’s innovative walling solution also meant columns throughout the offices could be covered too – something never attempted with Novawall before.
The fabric was chosen for the meeting rooms and mixed-use areas for its simple, highly flexible and acoustic properties. Novawall dramatically enhances the appearance of any office environment and can be used on walls and ceilings of all shapes and sizes.
The kitchenette area at Cinven was covered in Novawall leather walling for extra durability in this high use part of the building.
