New Weather Ventilation Louvres System Achieves The Impossible
A unique high performance weather ventilation louvre so advanced it has achieved what was once considered to be the impossible - a perfect combination of maximum airflow and maximum weatherability - has been launched by Levolux, innovators in the design, manufacture and installation of louvre and sunscreening systems.
Until now airflow and weatherability in any louvre combination has always resulted in compromise but Levolux's new VLS50X High Performance louvre changes everything - maximum airflow and all round rain defence produced as a high quality extruded profile.
A single one-piece extruded lourve, that out performs all other horizontal double bank systems and some triple bank systems in terms of airflow and weatherability, the VLS50X has a unique contoured aerodynamic shape with inherent strength capability. Designed specifically for industrial and commercial buildings, the system features a distinct profile for a double bank system. Capable of being used at different spacings the blade offers a continuous horizontal appearance and when 50mm apart becomes a visual barrier, irrespective of the angle of view.
The system has been designed by Levolux to ensure maximum fitting flexibility and with a possible unique louvre depth of only 123mm it is possible for it to be contained within a shallow envelope. Combined with a patented all alloy clipping system to ensure no bimetallic reaction the blade is particularly suitable for the best designed buildings with regards to aesthetics, the quality feel and of course the leap on improvement in test results over the previous best on the market.
Virtually maintenance free, the aerodynamic contoured shape reduces the necessity for upstands and lips on the profile, the water is removed from the airflow through the special shape - in real life large upstands and drains work in test but get clogged with muck very quickly lowering the actual blade performance over time. The system produces the best coefficient of discharge of any extruded horizontal double bank or roll formed system combined with inherent weatherability, helping to significantly reduces energy costs. With air resistance through the louvre being reduced, the aperture and plant equipment within can be smaller, lowering capital outlay and running costs.
Like all systems from Levolux, the VLS50X High Peformance louvre is backed with the company's design, manufacture and installation package, a comprehensive range of accessories, including a family of very efficient single bank blades that allow different blades to be used with similar visual appearance from the front and is available in a range of finishes including anodised, mill finish and powdercoating to any RAL colour, to suit virtually every application.
