Captains Club Hotel1 200x200Guests at a new luxury four star hotel will enjoy a cool, comfortable stay thanks to the latest Solar Shading technology, developed by Levolux, the UK’s leading Solar Shading specialists.

Situated on the banks of the picturesque River Stour, in the idyllic priory town of Christchurch, Dorset, the new £8m Captain’s Club Hotel boasts 29 rooms, a restaurant, spa and ‘Nauti Gal’, the hotel’s own 34ft motor yacht.

Captains Club Hotel2 200x200In order to achieve extremely efficient external solar shading, while also greatly enhancing the appearance of the building, specifier Cube Design chose the Levolux Matrix XL Solar Shading system which could be easily integrated into the building envelope above the hotel’s windows.

Aesthetically pleasing and with impressive structural characteristics, the Matrix XL system is manufactured from extruded aluminium and can be anodized or polyester powder coated to complement the building and blend with its surroundings.

Captains Club Hotel3 200x200Corrosion resistant, the Matrix XL system is virtually maintenance free and flexible enough in design to fit any structure, either new build or refurbishment. Matrix XL is extremely effective at reducing solar heat gain, while allowing natural daylight to filter into the building and retaining exceptional outward visibility.

By using Levolux products, up to 95% of solar heat gain can be excluded from the building – allowing substantial savings in air conditioning, initial capital costs and on-going running costs.

Captains Club Hotel5 200x200Like all systems from Levolux, Matrix XL solar shading is backed with the company’s design, manufacture and installation package, along with a three year warranty.
